About the Race
The Forest Hills School District is pleased to introduce the First Annual Forest Hills 5K run/walk. This exciting event will provide the Anderson community the opportunity to participate in an event that will promote health, fitness, adventure and unity among the 9 schools within the district. The purpose of the race is three-fold:
- To encourage the students, staff and families to embrace fitness as a part of their daily life,
- To introduce the community to the newly formed Forest Hills Foundation for Education (FHFE) and become one of the annual fundraisers for the foundation. For more information visit their website at www.FHFE.org
- To bring the nine schools within the Forest Hills District together to foster a community atmosphere.
The event will begin and end at Nagel Middle School, the one school within the district that all students and families experience during their educational journey through Forest Hills. The goal of the event is to create a festive community atmosphere, before, during and after the race. A post race festival will be held on the playfields at Nagel Middle School from 9:00 to noon.
